It’s pompous limousine liberalism at its worst. The show is also incredibly sexist. It’s coverage of political events shows that Sorkin has no real understanding of the complexity of researching news events. It’s relies upon cheaply exploiting tragic news events to build its own internal momentum and emotional force.

Read the AVClub’s reviews of the show. They’re pretty good at pointing how it has good moments but overall is very weak.

However, I think the last two episodes have shown that Sorkin is trying to fix some problems, and it will be interesting to see if he can.
